Dr. Satheesh Kumar J has a decade of formal teaching experience at high school, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels, both in India and abroad. He was the Lecturer in General Education of the Mahatmagandhi University College of Teacher Education, Kudamaloor Kottayam. His international academic engagement includes serving as Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Management at Haramaya University, Ethiopia, and as Lecturer at the Eritrea Institute of Technology, Eritrea. In these roles, he taught courses in Educational Management, Curriculum and Instruction, Sociology of Education, Educational Technology, Measurement and Evaluation, and Pedagogical Sciences. He guided more than twenty Master’s theses and actively contributed to curriculum design for postgraduate programmes. His global exposure has enriched his understanding of multicultural educational systems, competency-based assessment, and quality assurance in higher education.


Administrative Experience – 21 Years

Parallel to his teaching career, Dr. Satheesh Kumar J built an exceptional administrative profile with over 21 years of service in higher education governance. He served Mahatma Gandhi University in various capacities, including Section Officer and later Administrative Officer at the School of Pedagogical Sciences. In these roles, he assisted the Pro-Vice Chancellor, the Registrar and Heads of Departments in academic administration, financial governance, examination management, and statutory compliance, including NCTE norms. His administrative acumen combines procedural expertise, regulatory knowledge, and human resource coordination.


Professional Affiliations

Beyond academics, Dr. Satheesh Kumar remains deeply engaged in professional and social forums. He is a Life Member of the Council for Teacher Education (CTE), All India Association for Educational Research (AIAER), All India Council for Mass Education & Development (AICMED), and Human Resource & Skill Development Forum (HR & SDF). He currently serves as Idukki District Coordinator of HR & SDF and as District Coordinator of the Council for Teacher Education Forum for Idukki and Kottayam. He also contributes as a content writer and editor for Sociology Self Learning Materials at Sreenarayana Guru Open University, Kerala. His recent engagement as Skill Trainer under the PMKVY scheme at the Community Skill Park, Pampady, reflects his commitment to bridging higher education and skill development initiatives. He is an active Club member of of the renowned Senior Chamber International, Nedumkandam Legion.
